Sparkling Buffalo Chicken Dip!

I’ve long been a fan of Buffalo Chicken flavor. It started with Wings in my early TV Producer days at Movietime/E! Cable Network. Friday lunch at Hot Wings Cafe on Melrose Avenue. I wanted to have a beer, but I was still working. Root beer was the next best thing. The bubbles, sweetness and creamy texture worked well with the spicy wings. Each sip cleared the palate and cooled the spice and egged you on to the next bite of wings. So when Tina first made this Buffalo Chicken Dip, I decided to try something similar, and Voila – we had a winner on our hands.

Mumm Napa Rose Brut sparkling wine is an affordable bubbly that stands right up to the heat and creaminess of the buffalo dip. It’s got a creamy texture from being aged on the yeast for 18 months, and the bubbles cut right through the Dip’s heat. The big bonus to the wine is that it maintains just a hint of cherries and red fruit on the nose and flavor, that bursts onto your palate to offer yet another sensation for your tongue. Spicy, salty and creamy chicken meets creamy bubbliness and a hint of fruit. I think we’ve covered every flavor and texture you can fit in one mouthful. And I definitely suggest sipping with a bite of the dip still in your mouth!!!

Mumm Napa can be found for as little as $15ish if you look for a sale – and it’s available at just about anywhere you buy wine.
