Making the Poke Bowls

Poke Savoir Pair style. And a little bok choy on the side. Wine pairing to follow!

I usually serve the Poke Bowls on a bed of rice (Jasmine or Sushi rice is our favorite), and with various sides so everyone can add what they like:

Edamame

Sunomono (Cucumber salad – see below for quick recipe)

Sauteed Baby Bok Choi, broccoli, or roasted asparagus

Seaweed Salad

Pickled Ginger

Hot Sauce

Soy Sauce

Spicy Siracha Mayo

Rice crackers

Sushi Nori (roasted seaweed sheets)

Give them a try – it’s delicious and fun to customize your own bowl!

Quick Sunomono (Cucumber Salad) – serves 4-6:

5-6 Persian cucumbers, cut into medium dice

2 tablespoons Seasoned Rice vinegar

1/2 tablespoon Black Vinegar

1/2-1 tablespoon Soy Sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together and let sit about 10-15 minutes before serving. Taste and adjust as needed.
